I’ve always loved music and been musically inclined, and I’ve long dreamed of becoming a writer/producer of music. About 5+ years ago, I took a leap and contacted a songwriter and studio owner in Nashville – to help me take my words and turn them into a song. One thing led to another, and over the next few years, I connected with a bunch of musicians and other songwriters in Nashville.
Because I was learning about writing and producing on “their” turf in Nashville, I wrote and recorded a bunch of Country sounding songs. I had never loved Country music, but I was thrilled to be learning from the pros.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve been gravitating away from the Country songs and toward the music that I deeply love. Much of my musical influence came from the first music I heard in the 70s. Last year, I wrote and recorded a song called “7th Heaven,” and that song really represents what this is all about.
